Student Pledge
WAG’s Student Pledge
- I pledge to resolve conflicts without violence. When I am in a potentially toxic situation, I will remember that I can usually avoid trouble by walking away. And if a problem is bigger than I can handle, I am not “too cool” to go to someone with authority for help.
- I pledge to be a critical thinker. I know I have full control of my destiny and the decisions I make. It is my right to have the best life I can so I will have the courage to do the right thing, even when everyone else is not.
- I pledge to respect myself. I value my future more than pride or street cred. I know that violence leads to jail, death or disability so I owe it to myself to hang around people who want the best for me.
Your support can help save a child's life.
Every week, WAG rolls into inner-city schools, community centers and neighborhoods to talk to at-risk youth about the dangers of bullying, gangs, and gun violence — because we've lived it. The stories we share reach young people in a way statistics never will, and we've seen them change minds before tragedy strikes. But we can only show up when the funding allow us. Your donation — no matter the size — puts us in front of more students, in more classrooms and community centers, in more neighborhoods that need us most. Every dollar fuels another workshop, another testimony, another chance to redirect a life before it's too late.
If our mission moves you, please make a contribution today.
